CIS’ French-English bilingual programme is designed to allow students to be fluent communicators in both languages, providing them with an edge in today’s increasingly competitive and globalised world. Available to students in junior kindergarten to grade 6*, our French-English bilingual programme is fully aligned to the IB PYP and includes two qualified teachers per class: one native English speaker, and one native French speaker.

CIS's French-English bilingual programme
In our bilingual programme, students attend classes (with the respective teacher) in English one day, and in French the next, ensuring equal exposure to both languages.
A key feature of our programme is learning about French culture as research shows speaking a language without understanding its culture, has very little real-world value. We also support students in their learning with a wide range of resources including a world language section in our library.
From Senior Kindergarten onwards, students must meet the specific language requirements to enter the programme.
Our established track record in bilingual programming makes us one of the most experienced and trusted international schools in the region to educate students in becoming fluent communicators in two languages.
