Activities
Activities at CIS: discover, grow and thrive
At CIS, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our wide-ranging activities give students the opportunity to explore new passions, build talents, and grow holistically whether in sports, creative arts, languages, STEAM or community initiatives. Activities bring students together, encourage teamwork, confidence and resilience, and help them thrive beyond academics.

Outdoor and experiential learning
Trips, excursions, field investigations and experiential learning opportunities that build independence, global awareness and real-world connections.
How activities are structured and scheduled
When and how students can participate
- Activities (ECAs, CCAs, sports) are offered across three terms each school year.
- Students register for most activities via the online system My.CIS. For competitive sports, registration often signifies interest and is followed by tryouts.
- Language classes are run by independent providers and are a paid service.
- ECAs and clubs are available to students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12.
