iPad requirements: grades 4-6 (primary)
Your child will need their iPad for the first day of school*. If you need to purchase an iPad, the Apple store in Orchard Road offers preferred pricing for CIS families.
This One to World iPad Parent Guide outlines device requirements, required apps and everything else you need to know to get set up. iPad setup assistance is available during your orientation appointment or at the IT support office after school commences.
*If you need help configuring your child’s iPad, please bring your child’s iPad to IT.
MacBook requirements: grades 7-12 (secondary)
Students in grades 7 - 12 will need a MacBook for the first day of school. If you need to purchase one, the Apple store in Orchard Road offers prefered pricing for CIS families. Students in grades 7 to 12 can configure their devices at home, or get assistance during your orientation appointment, or the IT support office after the first day of school.
This page outlines the systems we use at CIS. If you’re new to CIS, you will receive an email with your login credentials for all CIS systems.
Once you have set up your credentials, please login to Managebac to view your child’s timetable*, teachers* and class locations*.
* If your child is in nursery or kindergarten at the Lakeside campus, you will receive your child’s timetable and class details via email.
Sodexo is the school’s canteen provider. Meal choices change daily, with a selection of Asian, western and vegetarian meals. Meals have been designed to align with students’ tastes, but with a focus on nutrition and quality.
- If your child is in primary school (nursery to grade 6), you will need to order your meals online (from 1 January) before school starts.
- If your child is in secondary school, they will be able to top up their student ID stored value card on their first day of school, so that they can buy lunch. Student ID cards can be collected from the main school reception at Lakeside and main office at Tanjong Katong.

All students must wear the CIS uniform from the first day of school, unless advised otherwise. The uniform page on our website outlines what items your child will need, while the parent handbook outlines our uniform policy.
We’d strongly encourage you to purchase uniforms before your child starts school.

Yeap Transport, contracted by CIS, provides door-to-door bus transportation for CIS students. If you still need to arrange bus transportation please contact Yeap Transport directly as soon as possible as routes take at least two weeks to be confirmed. Their contact details can be found on the bus services page.

Campus access and COVID health measures
When you arrive on campus, you will be asked to show the admissions new family email to our security team. If you are coming onto campus before your child starts school, you will be asked to follow the visitor procedures outlined on this page.

We accept cash, NETS, cheque and American Express. Credit cards and PayNow are accepted, but payments are done online.
Placement testing for students in grades 1 to 6 who may be required to enter our English Language Learners (ELL) programme will commence the week starting 4 January. Invoices for the ELL programme will be sent out by CIS finance team once testing is complete and related placement has been confirmed.
