Pastoral counselling programme

At CIS, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment where every student’s emotional, social, and mental well-being is valued. Our school counselling program plays an integral role in this commitment by providing both proactive and responsive support to help students navigate challenges and thrive in all areas of their development.

Our counselling program is grounded in the CIS Core Values, the IB Learner Profile, and Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills. It supports students in developing emotional resilience, building healthy relationships, and making responsible decisions.

We believe that a strong foundation in emotional well-being is essential for learning and personal growth. Through a blend of preventative strategies and responsive interventions, our counsellors help create a predictable and safe environment in which students feel supported and empowered.

Counselling at CIS focuses on fostering emotional awareness, self-regulation, and problem-solving skills. Students are equipped with tools to manage stress, navigate conflicts, and express emotions in healthy, constructive ways. This foundation enables them to be proactive and responsible members of the school community.
