Smile, the graphic novel about growing up and getting braces has reached the top of TK's borrowings! We now have five copies and they're constantly out. Sisters, and Drama, by the same author are also very popular.

Since we all took part in the Terry Fox run last month, it was great to see teachers and students borrowing the book about his life and achievements, and this was the second most borrowed book for the month.

Boy on the Wooden Box is a sad, realistic, work of fiction about Leon Leyson, one of the children saved by Oscar Schindler during World War II. It's also one of our Red Dot books and a work for the Readers' Cup that is coming up in May. In fact, 6 of the top 10 books in February were Red Dot books, which shows the strength of having multiple copies of books that have been selected for this award.

The Wimpy Kid series remains a firm favourite and our Grade 4 classes have included copies in their classroom libraries as well.

Our Grade 4-6 students have been learning about Novelist, a book recommendation site to find out what kind of books they'd enjoy based on their current favourites. Ask them how to login and find their next read - there are recommendations for adults, too!
