As season 2 draws to a close, it is a good time to reflect on the hard work that has resulted in successes. I can honestly say this season has really been one of achievements.

Our 11U girls soccer team played their hearts out, finishing with the gold medal at the end of their Division 3 season. The two very proud coaches, Ms Smith and Miss Tremblay, were very happy with this fantastic result.

Our 19U boys basketball team had an advantage even before the season started with their "winning spirit" in their brand new, individually-named, custom-made singlets! To finish off with the gold medal in Division 2 was the fairy-tale ending Mr Chisholm wanted as he [sadly] moves on to new opportunities.

Our 14U girls volleyball team made it to the gold medal final against ACSI, where they unfortunately lost in 2 sets. Coach Bellavance commented on how proud she was though of such a fantastic result - they won silver - and how much the girls have improved in their category.

Our 19U girls basketball team were playing for gold in their match in the Division 3 final but unfortunately they missed out on gold this time, receiving silver. The girls were lucky to have the expertise and enthusiasm of coaches Mr Little and Mr Naylor to guide them through a very successful season.

Our 16U boys rugby team were very strong in their 14U season last term, but this season they moved up to play against the bigger boys. The majority of players were under 15, and under the super guidance of Mr Tainsh, the team did really well to finish a commendable third place in this very competitive league. Watch this space next year!

Our 14U 'A' boys soccer team, under the watchful eye of our very own Mr Lespagnol, were predicted to have a great season from the outset. An extremely passionate football coach, Mr Lespagnol mentored and helped mould the team into a very powerful force, achieving third in Division 2. Mr Lespagnol was seen with a bronze medal around his neck and a huge smile on his face!

Last but definitely not least, our 14U netball team had a wonderful season, successfully competing in Division 1 as our only Secondary team. Competing in Division 1 is a huge honour itself, and to achieve a bronze medal is outstanding! A huge reason for their success is their coaching staff lead by the very experienced Sam Atkinson at the helm, and Mr Polkinghorne encouraging and motivating the girls.

Congratulations to all other teams who have not placed this season - we know they will keep up the hard work!

Here's looking forward to a fantastic Season 3 to finish off a wonderful year of CIS sports. Go hard or go home, Huskies!
