Congratulations to TK grade 4 student Alya who brought home a bronze medal from the 5th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championship last month. Hosted by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation, over 500 young taekwondo practitioners from Asia Pacific competed in this championship over two days.

Alya started taekwondo when she was only 4 years old. Recently, at the age of 8, she successfully passed her 2nd Poom (2nd Black) belt grading. The 5th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championship was the first regional championship Alya attended. She is looking forward to participating in other national and international competitions in the near future.
