Extra Curricular Activities (ECAs)
Discover the CIS ECA programme
At CIS, our Extracurricular Activities (ECAs) programme extends learning beyond the classroom. Learning is shaped by student interest.
ECAs are grouped into a few categories: creative expressions, sports, languages and enrichment.
Each focus area supports holistic development. Students explore new strengths through meaningful experiences, while building confidence and independence.
Discover the CIS ECA Programme

At CIS, we offer ECAs from Kindergarten all the way through to Grade 10, with more than 450 activities running throughout the year. But for us, ECAs are about so much more than simply keeping students busy after school. They are opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, build confidence, collaborate with others, and create friendships that extend far beyond the classroom. One of the most rewarding parts is seeing students step outside their comfort zones, discover new passions, and challenge themselves in exciting ways.
Behind every programme is a passionate team dedicated to creating meaningful experiences across languages, sports, coding and robotics, performing arts, and more. From unique experiences like horse riding programmes, where students adopt and care for a horse over a 10-week period, to our exciting winter sports activities including snowboarding, skiing, and ice skating, there is something for every interest. Our swimming programme is also a key highlight, supporting students at every stage — from learn-to-swim classes and pre-competitive training to representing CIS in regional competitions. Through every activity, we aim to create opportunities for students to grow in confidence, expand their friendship circles, embrace leadership, and learn the value of collaboration.
Learning beyond the classroom across six focus areas
Through ECAs, students develop more than specific skills. The programme is structured around six focus areas that support well-rounded development. Each activity is designed to encourage exploration, participation, and personal growth.
