University visits at CIS

Last school year, CIS welcomed over 80 different universities and their representatives from around the world to present to our student and parent community. The dialogue and interaction was beneficial to everyone involved. CIS families gained first-hand knowledge about a particular institution, while the universities had the opportunity to build a more in-depth relationship with our students and campus.

This school year, we are expecting visits from over 100 universities based in various locations around the globe. Attending a university visit can help students decide whether an institution is the right fit for them. Answering questions about academic requirements, cost of living, activities on campus and different majors are some of the reasons why university representatives visit secondary and high schools around the world. They understand that students may not have the chance to visit a university that is thousands of miles away from home.

When attending a university visit, it is important to keep an open mind. Since CIS is located in Singapore, not every university around the world has the ability to visit our campus. Even if a particular university isn’t able to visit us, it’ll still be beneficial to attend a session with a different university that has a similar programme and location. For example, learning more about the city/country where a university is based, or what graduates can do with a certain major, will definitely help a student with their university decisions.

The list of universities, as well as an overview of dates and times, for this year’s university visitors can be found on the My.CIS University Advising page. Don’t forget to mark the dates in your calendar. We hope to see you at the next visit - come prepared with your list of questions!
