Encouraging exploration and discovery
The Parent and Child playgroup programme, located in the Primary School at the Lakeside Campus, provides parents with young children an opportunity to connect with others in a morning of fun filled activities that encourage exploration and discovery. Activities include arts and crafts, sensory play, and interactive playtime.
Learning activities and toys are designed to encourage children’s fine and gross motor skill development, while the dramatic play corner enhances children’s imagination through role play. Activities are designed to be age appropriate and cover all areas of development. Each session includes both free play and planned activities to encourage curiosity and keep children engaged.
Each parent and child group is kept small, and the programme takes full advantage of Lakeside’s facilities and discovery playground. The CIS Parent and Child programme is excellent preparation for Kindergarten.
All parents with children aged 15 months to 3 years of age are welcome. Parent and Child runs every morning, from 9:00am to 11:30am. Tea, coffee and snacks for parents and children are provided.
