Welcome to Lakeside primary school. We hope that you’ve enjoyed your summer break, and that your child is looking forward to joining us in August.

Starting a new school or a new grade (not to mention moving to a new country), can be stressful, but we hope that we can make your transition to CIS and the new school year as seamless as possible.

While our campus might appear large, our primary school is broken down into grade level communities, and our students settle in very quickly. Our community focus and individualised attention ensures that each and every child is very well cared for at CIS.

Orientation for Lakeside primary is scheduled on Friday 10 August, and the first day of school is Monday 13 August 2018.

Dear parents and students,

On behalf of our entire faculty and staff, it is my honour and privilege to welcome you to CIS secondary school. Each year before the start of school we offer orientation sessions for families to assist in their transition to a new school, or a new school year.

Orientation day this year is scheduled on Tuesday 7 August, and the schedules for both new and returning families are below. These schedules let you know what you need to do, at what time and where.

Orientation is designed to provide you with an overview of secondary (new families) and the information needed for a successful first day of school on Monday 13 August. Orientation does not tell you everything about our curriculum, facilities, programmes and calendar. Information regarding these aspects of school life will be shared over the coming weeks.

Grade 7 students joining Lakeside from TK in 2018-2019, please follow the schedule for new Secondary families.

Returning students can view their timetables and daily schedules* in Managebac from midday on 30 July. During the first weeks of school we will host a curriculum night and a variety of information sessions for parents and students regarding different aspects of our programme. Further details are outlined below.

In secondary, we strongly believe in encouraging students to pursue excellence. We look forward to getting to know your children, and celebrating their achievements as they engage in academics, creativity, activity and service opportunities throughout the coming school year.
