Welcome to CIS and the 2019-2020 school year. This page is designed to help you prepare for orientation and the first day of school. You will find information specific to your child’s campus / division below.

Head of school welcome

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. As a school, we are committed to providing extraordinary learning opportunities and encouraging exceptional achievement. We look forward to working with you as partners in your child’s education.

Orientation for new families
We strongly encourage all new families to attend orientation in August to:

  • get acquainted with your child’s homeroom or advisor teacher(s)
  • meet your child's principal(s)
  • complete any outstanding administrative matters before school starts

Orientation for returning families
Orientation for returning families is for children in pre-kindergarten to grade 7 only.

System access and class details
At midday on Monday 29 July, our systems will open for login. You will be able to view your child’s timetable*, teacher(s) and classroom details by logging in to ManageBac after this time (view this user guide for details).

  • Returning parents will use the same credentials as last year to access ManageBac and My.CIS.
  • New parents will receive their CIS credentials via email before 29 July. Follow the steps in the email we send you to set up your account and access systems.

* Primary language class details will not be available until after school starts, and students who are new to secondary may only be able to view advisory classes before orientation. All classes are subject to change.

Seesaw access - primary school only
From August, parents will use their 5 digits@cis.edu.sg credentials to access Seesaw. Your child's homeroom teacher will share how to get connected to Seesaw in the first Friday update of the school year.

If you have time, please stop by our orientation “meet and greet” session(s) to say hello (you can visit this page on our website to learn more about us), and put some names to faces before school starts on Tuesday 13 August.

Sincerely,

Pete Corcoran

Lakeside Primary School

Welcome to Lakeside primary. We hope that you’ve enjoyed your summer break, and that your child is looking forward to joining us in August.

Starting a new school or a new grade (not to mention moving to a new country), can be stressful, but we hope that we can make your transition to CIS and the new school year as seamless as possible.

While our campus might appear large, our primary school is broken down into grade level communities, and our students settle in very quickly. Our community focus and individualised attention ensures that each and every child is very well cared for at CIS.

Orientation for Lakeside primary is scheduled on Wednesday 7 August 2019, and the first day of school is Tuesday 13 August 2019*. Students in nursery pre-kindergarten start with a staggered entry. Please check your email for details.

We have different orientation schedules for new and returning families, and everyone has an opportunity to meet their homeroom teacher. These orientation schedules outline what you need to do, at what time, and where:

If you have any questions or concerns over the coming weeks, please feel free to contact your admissions executive or our primary school office.

We wish you the very best for the year ahead, and we look forward to meeting you at orientation or at one of the functions in the first few weeks of school.

Sincerely,
