Teacher-Advisor Programme (TAP)
All students have an assigned Teacher-Advisor at CIS. The Teacher-Advisor helps students make the transition from Elementary to Secondary School and assists them and their parents in making decisions about courses and future goals.
The Teacher-Advisor maintains regular contact with students throughout the school year in order to monitor progress in course work and in other aspects of school life. Each student, with his/her Teacher-Advisor, will complete his/her annual education plan and serves as a key school contact for parents.
Annual Education Plans
Every student in Grade 9 through 12 prepares an Annual Education Plan with assistance from parents and his/her teacher advisor. The plan identifies:
- The student's goals for academic achievement
- Course selections for the following year
- Co-curricular activities
- Plans for exploring careers
- Post-secondary education goals
