Parent and Child Programme
The Parent and Child playgroup programme provides a morning of fun filled activities for you to enjoy with your child. The programme currently runs 5 mornings a week, activities include art and crafts, sensory play, interactive playtime. Toys that encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills are available as well as building activities and a dramatic play corner to encourage role play and imagination.
We meet with a hello song, followed by free play, outdoor time, snack time, free play again and end our morning with a group circle time. Circle time varies day to day but can include, singing, dancing, music time, story time, parachute time, bubbles and finally a goodbye song.
The Parent and Child playgroup programme is catered to all parents (Mums or Dads) with their child/ children between 15 months to 3 years of age. Once a child reaches 3 years old they are no longer eligible for this programme.
The next term will commence on 9 April 2013 at the Canadian International School - Lakeside Campus. Mrs. Yvonne Noble will be the Coordinator. The sessions will run from Monday to Friday. You may choose to attend once a week or up to 5 times a week, subject to availability. Dates for the new term beginning 9 April and ending 14 June 2013, are as follows:

Daily Schedule
Each session starts at 9:00am and finishes at 11:30am and classes are located in the West Wing at 2 West, WW 208. The schedule for each session is as follows:

Music/Story/Goodbye |
Arts and Crafts activities and free play activities rotate weekly. The playgroup is open to parents and their children. Helpers are not allowed to accompany the child/ children to the sessions. The maximum number of children for each session is 13.
Please note: Parents are encouraged to participate in the activities in order for the child to fully benefit from the Parent Child playgroup. Tea, coffee and snacks are made available to parents and children at no charge.
Application Process

You will be given the option of choosing your preferred days, we will try to accommodate your day of choice however it is subject to availability.
Trial Class
A one time trial session is allowed for new parents and their children before signing up for the term. The cost for one trial session is $25 and we ask that you make payment for this on the morning of the trial.
Term Fees
The term fees are based on $25 per session/class per child. Fees are payable before the commencement of term. Once you have been given confirmation for a place and start date, please make payment at the Main Office, Lakeside Campus. Alternatively a cheque can be mailed to:

Payment can be made either by cash, NETS, credit card or cheque (made payable to “Canadian International School”). Please write Attn: Parent and Child on the back of your cheque.
There are no refunds for personal holidays or sick days. Two make up sessions per term are available and arrangements can be made with the Co-ordinator of the programme for make up classes.
