Recreational Sports

Sport is interwoven into the Physical Education curriculum at CIS. Through sporting activities, students learn the benefits of teamwork, build and refine their leadership and communication skills, and learn the importance of fair play. In addition to sporting activities which comprise part of the Physical Education programme, CIS offers a number of engaging and exciting competitive and recreational sporting activities after school.

In addition to organized sporting activities offered via the curriculum and competitive sports, the School also operates an extensive collection of other activities and recreational sports through its Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) programme. ECAs are offered in the following categories: Sports, Academic/ Arts/Culture and Service. These activities offer a range of recreational and non-competitive sporting activities such as gymnastics, roller blading, basketball, floor hockey, football (soccer), rugby, badminton, karate, musical production, photography, games club, and netball for students in Grades 1 to 12.

We scored our very first goal in the third game the team ever played. Showing confidence in the opponent's field, we lost 2-1 in a hard fought match.
In a competitive home game at CIS TK, our 14U boys basketball team showed off their skills against UWC Dover.
