Canteen -
Both CIS campuses have well staffed canteens that provide nutritious hot meals and snacks for students. Food includes dishes that cater to the western palate, local taste and vegetarians.
Younger students have the option of purchasing set meals with prepaid coupons or bringing a packed lunch from home. Older students can bring lunch from home or utilize their EZ-Link student card to select their own meals and pay daily.
The Lakeside and Tanjong Katong canteens are all an undercover, open concept with ceiling fans. Students in ECE, JK and SK eat in their classrooms, where they feel comfortable and where there are fewer distractions. Students have recess in the morning (snack time) and lunch in the middle of the day with fresh milk available in the afternoon for ECE, JK and SK students.
Cash Free Zones
All CIS canteens are cash free zones. Students in Grades 4 to 12 will use their student cards (Ez-Link cards) to purchase food, drinks and snacks. Students in ECE to Grade 3 will continue to use lunch coupons.
