Our Journey to the New Campus at Jurong West Street 41

It has been a long awaited event. On Saturday, 2 June, CIS staff, parents and students gathered at the grounds of the proposed new school campus on Jurong West Street 41.

At 12 PM sharp, shovels hit the ground and the crowds applauded in unison. The Groundbreaking marked the start of construction for the new all-purpose facility, expected to be ready in 2009. Children, families and staff were on hand to join in the digging.

We were graced with the presence of our Guest of Honor, Mr. Jordan Walsh, Second Secretary (Management and Consular) from the Canadian High Commission.

Later, we celebrated with lunch, bouncy castles and cotton candy at the current CIS campus on Toh Tuck Road .
