Christopher (CIS Lakeside student) started playing ice hockey when he was 7 years old. He started playing with a local club called the Ice Dragons Singapore. What started out as just a fun activity, rapidly became an absolute passion. 2 years ago, he was asked by the Singapore Ice Hockey Association and Team Singapore to start training with the Youth National Ice Hockey Team of Singapore.

Suddenly we found ourselves practically living at the Ice Rink at J-Cube!This year, although he was still only 15, the Men’s National Team sought special permission for Christopher to play in a big tournament in the Philippines called the Championship Cup of Asia. Singapore was playing in Division 2 against Thailand, Philippines, Mongolia and Kuwait. Singapore played hard and well.  Christopher was a major contributor to the game and was even awarded Player of the Game against Thailand, and was ranked third in all Division 2 for his Face Off wins! Next, he’ll be playing in the Asian Winter Games!

Go Team Singapore!
