Laptop Purchasing Options

All new laptops must be purchased through one of the school’s official vendors. Available models and order forms can be obtained at the school’s main office. New laptops that are not purchased through the school vendors will not be permitted at CIS.

To enhance learning and teaching opportunities for students and teachers, the school is maintaining the optimal condition and operation of laptop computers. Purchasing all student laptops through school vendors provides several significant benefits: Three year onsite warranty and priority repair services, as well, configuration, compatibility and troubleshooting services.

CIS purchases laptop computers through Acer and Dell. As they provide the best combination of cost, warranty and servicing, and performance .

How to Purchase a Laptop

Follow these steps to purchase a new laptop computer:

1. Obtain the order forms from the school office or download them here: Acer Order Form (November 2007) --- Dell Order Form (May 2007)
2. Review the order form and select a laptop
3. Return the completed order form and cheque or credit card info rmation to the school (main office)
4. Upon delivery to the school, the laptop will be configured and presented to the student
