Elementary School Extra Curricular Activities
The Canadian International School ( Singapore), Elementary Campus offers an exhilarating range of extra curricular activities throughout the school year. The activities are designed to be inclusive, and assist students in developing individual interests, confidence, positive attitudes and social skills.
School Clubs
The school clubs are an integral and special part of our extra curricular programme, that provide opportunities for students to explore interests and hobbies that they might not otherwise be able to investigate during the regular school day.
Sports
A variety of stimulating sporting activities are provided for all students. These activities encourage students to participate, share camaraderie, and develop a sense of fair play and teamwork. The motivating activities promote an understanding of “It’s not whether you win or lose that counts, but how you play the game.”The main emphasis is on participation and fun!
Music
Music is an integral part of the programmes at our school. Children learn to love music when they have the opportunity to experience singing, and perform to a variety of audiences. All students are encouraged to join in the many musical opportunities within the school. We encourage students to join our Primary School Choir, Junior School Choir and Recorder Consorts. The students practice weekly and perform at special events such as United Nations Week, Festive Holiday Performances, and International Friendship Day Concert.
After School Special Programmes
In addition to the many programmes provided by our staff, we also offer some special after school programmes, provided by members of the school community. These programmes are available at affordable user fees. Some of the activities include Saturday Soccer, Gymnastics, In-line skating, IQ Club, and Jazz and Ballet. These activities are regularly advertised in our School Newsletter that is circulated within the school community.
