At CIS there are a number of off-site programmes that provide students with an opportunity to experience meaningful learning that helps them on their journey to becoming informed, purposeful, and active global citizens.
Students are able to use inquiry to further their understanding of people, community and global issues, places, artifacts and objects outside the boundaries of traditional learning environments.
Class excursions are common in most grades and the focus for the trip will be around the current Unit of Inquiry that students are engaged in. Excursion week (called CASA week at the Bukit Tinggi campus) usually occurs in April for students in grades 4 to 8. Destinations include:

Grade 5-D'Coconut Island, Malaysia - Physical Challenge, Environmental Study and Personal Growth
Grade 6-Taman Negara, Malaysia - Rain Forest Community, Environment and Peoples
Grade 7-Malaysia - Outdoor Education and Aquatic Ecology
Grade 8-Chiang Mai, Thailand - Intercultural Understanding and Personal Growth
Grade 10-Vietnam
Grade 12-Grade 12 students receive a selection of trips that historically have visited Cambodia, India, Malaysia, Thailand and New Zealand.
