Welcome to the 2010 - 2011 school year at the Jurong East High School Campus of the Canadian International School. The High School continues to grow in student numbers allowing us to offer more course choices for our students. We are an IB World School, offering the Middle Years Programme to our grade 9 and 10 students. In grade 11, students have the choice of completing the graduation requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma Programme or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, both of which open doors to Colleges and Universities world-wide.
At CIS, we strive to develop the whole child into educated and responsible global citizens. We believe that this comes from a strong base of well trained, enthusiastic and caring educators, which we have brought together for the upcoming year. The students will have ample opportunities to participate in The Arts, Athletics, Community Service and Academic based clubs and teams. As well, our grade 10s and grade 12s will experience Excursion Week and travel to countries such as Vietnam, India, Malaysia or Cambodia to learn about their cultures first hand. We hope they take full advantage of the events that have been coordinated for the students, but more importantly we hope they get involved in events that are coordinated by the students.
